3d CAD models

I saw a model for this, a small bracket to hold a filament spools end.

Since it looked simple, and I still had tpu dry and loaded, I quickly modeled this.

So far it seems to work well enough, and I don't need to crimp the filament, by looping it through holes in the spool.

Before I had designed a straight bracket for the light, which I think looked great.

But then I tried it outside, and once the light was appropriatly angled downward, it was mostly shining the light to the side, rather than forward :/

So I decided to model in the mud guards and light, make the bracket level, and model a connection, that would make that work.

I think the curve turned out nice, and I wanted to avoid a 90 degree straight bracket.

Hopefully this will work better now, for riding in the dark :D

I have a robot vacuum, and stools with thin, shiny, metal tubes for legs. Since it's too low for the robot vacuum to detect, they lead to a lot of noises, when the robot can't quite navigate over them. Or worse, gets stuck on there.

I used some light dumbells before, to better block the path, and avoid those issues.

Since I already had tpu loaded for the bike bag adapter, I decided to give modeling a solution a try.

I'm really proud of putting the opening at the top, and and making the bottom push the tops together a bit. They are quite solid, when the stool is on the ground.

Since it worked so well for the roadbike, I decided to also make a saddle bag adapter for my gravel bike. It was a bit easier, that the road bike one, since the seat post is a round tube. But it still took some trial and error to get it fitting well enough.

At the end I added the large fillets to the big edges, I think it really elevartes the look :)

Since it's getting way too hot in the summer, I got a portable indoor AC. But since it pushes a lot of air outside, while taking in air from inside, it can cause quite a bit of underpressure, which can interfere with the sadly common gas heating here :/

I saw a cover at my brothers place, that ensures the AC takes in air through a tube, and decided I would make one for myself.

I learned a lot there, making the internal structure to keep it solid, and printing in parts.

Welding pieces together with my soldering iron worked very well. Obviously with a spare tip, and in front of a big open window ;)

I prepared most things for splitting in FreeCad (latest model has the dovetail joints and holes for filament dowels modeled in), but sadly didn't get it to work with this model. But the splitting was easy enough in the printer software :D (only positioning the joinery in there is quite a bother)

These adapters fit into angles, and allows placing bars on top, to hold up art at different depths and positions.

The idea was to have a minimal mounting object on the wall, that allows for differing placement options. With the metal angeles, they turned out quite sturdy.

And the tubes are quite useful, for putting up textile art, by its loop at the top.

A while ago, I ordered a rack for some of my dumbbell weights. But I came as just the metal rack, with only thin sides for the weights to rest on. I tried to fix this with some felt and tape, but it kept slipping, and the rack was cutting into the soft weights. So this was then my first time, using a sweep in FreeCAD.

But I also ran into limits with the chamfer took, since the ends partly have small corners, and the tool did not want to work there then.

It was also the first time, I printed a lot of the same things, seeing that I needed 20 of them :D

I like using bags on my bikes, so I don't have to carry things on my back. But the bike's seat and narrow seat post started to deform my bag a bit. Since I already had the seat post profile modeled, I decided to take that, and give the back a flatter surface to rest against

It was also my first time, printing tpu on my own printer. I used it together with a filement dryer, and I'm super happy with how clean it came out.

Since I installed a front rack on my citybike, the previous light bracket no longer fit. For the time being, I just bend a metal bracket, to make it kinda fit. But it was a bit too bike, and was scratching the mudguards. So I decided it was time to replace it with a new 3d printed bracket.

My bike has front rack with straps, which is super useful for carrying packages back home. But since the rack is all round at the front, keeping the straps in place was a bit annoying. So I designed hooks, that snap onto the racks tubes, and are held down with zip ties.

A friend of mine, who is a textile artist, asked me to make her a scissors holder for her loom. The ring loosely attaches to an existing screw, and has a long tunnel to hold the scissors.

I have a bike repair stand at home, and recently got a new roadbike. The roadbike seatpost has an indent in the back, which makes the bike move around akwardly in the stand.

So this tpu adapter takes up that spaces, and helps me service the bike
